In addition to standard home inspections, a selection of additional services are offered. As a scheduling convenience to the client, all services are performed during one appointment in nearly every instance.

Pest Inspection
A specialized inspection for wood-destroying insects, such as carpenter ants, powder-post beetles, or termites.

Radon Screening
Two test vials are generally placed in the basement or in any other low altitude living area, or potential living area, and retrieved by the buyer or designate. Mailing kit, postage, and lab fees included.

Water Quality Analysis
From basic tests to large environmental packages.

Water Quantity Analysis
Data collected on well system; flow and pressure are monitored to verify the ability of the well to meet the needs of the dwelling.

Lead Paint Inspection
Testing is conducted by a licensed lead paint inspector, using x-ray fluorescence technology. Available tests: Lead Determination (about 24 spots), with option to upgrade to a full test; Soil and water testing for lead is also available.

Mold Sampling
Identification of the type of mold and related health risks.

Septic System Inspections (Title V Septic Inspection in Massachusetts)
Inspection to determine condition of the system and the relative position of the soil absorption system to ground water. Tank, baffles, operating levels, and the distribution box are inspected. Similar protocols are followed during septic inspections in other states. An existing Massachusetts Title 5 report can be reviewed at no additional charge, if the 11-page report is available at the time of the inspection.
